Our approach to refunds
We want billing on Slotwise to be simple, predictable, and fair — for you and for us. This policy explains exactly what happens with the free trial, subscription payments, and SMS credit packs, so there are no surprises, and how to get in touch if a payment or charge needs looking into.
The 14-day free trial
Every new Slotwise account starts with a 14-day free trial of the Growth plan. You get full access to Growth-plan features from day one, and you won't be charged anything during those 14 days. If Slotwise isn't the right fit, you're free to cancel at any time before the trial ends, at no cost whatsoever. If you take no action, your account isn't charged automatically — it simply moves to the Free plan once the trial ends, and you can choose a paid plan whenever you're ready.
Subscription refunds
Paid subscriptions are billed either monthly or yearly, depending on the plan and billing cycle you choose. Once a payment has gone through for a given billing period, that period is treated as used and is not refunded — whether you paid monthly or for the full year, you keep full access to your plan for the period you paid for.
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account console. Cancelling doesn't refund the current billing period, but it does stop any future renewal, so you'll never be charged again after your current period ends. We think this is the fairest balance: you always get everything you paid for, and cancelling is immediate and effective, with nothing further needed on your part once you've done it.
SMS credit packs
Automatic SMS reminders and confirmations are sent using SMS credits — an allowance included with your plan, topped up if needed with additional credit packs you can purchase. Once a credit has been used to send a message, it is non-refundable: the SMS has already been delivered through our messaging provider, so there's no service left to reverse or refund. This applies whether the credits used came from your plan's included allowance or from a purchased pack. If you have credits remaining in a pack you bought that haven't been used, get in touch and we'll look at your situation, but credits that have already been used to send a message cannot be refunded under any circumstances.
How to request a refund or raise a billing issue
If you believe you've been charged in error, or you have a question about a specific payment, email hello@skotechlabs.com and include:
- Your business name, exactly as registered on your Slotwise account, and
- The payment or transaction ID for the charge in question, found in your billing history or payment confirmation.
This lets us find your payment quickly and investigate properly. We'll respond as soon as we can and let you know the outcome.
How approved refunds are paid
Where a refund is approved, we pay it back through the same channel you originally used to pay — bKash, Nagad, bank transfer, or card — rather than as account credit, unless you ask us for a different arrangement. Processing takes a reasonable window, typically around 5–10 business days, though the exact timing can depend on how quickly your bank or payment provider settles the return once we've issued it on our end.
Disputed or unverifiable transactions
Occasionally a payment can't be matched automatically — for example, if a transaction ID doesn't line up with our records, or a mobile banking payment hasn't posted through yet. When that happens, we hold the payment for manual verification before activating a plan or recording it against your account, rather than risk activating something that wasn't actually paid for. If you've made a genuine payment that hasn't been verified within a reasonable time, please don't simply try again — contact hello@skotechlabs.com with your payment details, and we'll track it down and sort it out.
This is a general template and should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer or accountant before you rely on it.
